Today is our Picture Day, but Jay was too tired to look for the camera at 6 this morning so we don’t have a 16 week belly picture yet. If we took it when I got home you’d see 16 weeks of baby and 10 pounds of food that I’ve eaten throughout the day.

we captured tygris, our tabby, whoring up some attention. Apparently, she loves the ass smacking.
Ok, here we are at 14 weeks. We heard our baby’s heart beat for the 1st time last wednesday, the 2nd of November. 157BPM. That’s like slow intelligent jungle or slow happy hardcore speed! Our kid is healthy!

Yesterday we had our first appointment with the OBGYN. We were hoping to get an ultrasound so we would have pictures to give to our moms on Friday, but he said it wasn’t necessary before 20 weeks so he didn’t do it. We did get to hear the baby’s heartbeat which was pretty cool and confirmed that there is in fact a little person inside me and I’m not just getting fat. Jay heard him say 157 beats per minute, I heard him say 150 — either number is good so we’re both happy.
Now we’re off to Jersey to tell our moms…
